JOB OPPORTUNITY: CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE ADVOCACY WORKER
EAAS has a long history of providing independent advocacy services for vulnerable adults in East Ayrshire to ensure that their voices are heard when decisions are being made about their lives.
Through grant funding from the Scottish Government, an opportunity has arisen to provide independent advocacy for children and young people in the Children’s Hearing System.
JOB TITLE: ADVOCACY WORKER
HOURS: 35 HOURS PER WEEK (FLEXIBLE)
SALARY: £21,330 p.a
You will be expected to build trusting advocacy relationships with children and young people to ensure that their views are heard and considered and that their rights are respected when they are in contact with the Children’s Hearing System.
You will have a sound knowledge of the Children’s Hearing System in Scotland. An excellent understanding of the principles of independent advocacy and a commitment to inclusion and empowerment are essential.
Current driving license and use of a car preferable.
Successful candidates will be subject to PVG Enhanced Disclosure System.
